Why fly to Sardinia Alghero?

Explore the medieval city of Alghero, home to one of the most attractive coastal resorts on the Italian island of Sardinia.

Head north of the old town to the coast for a more relaxing atmosphere and enjoy its panoramic views and natural sights whilst walking along the marina, lined with glittering white yachts and fishing boats. Here you will also find some of Alghero’s many well-preserved beaches with white sands and turquoise sea.

Delightful Alghero experiences mild weather all year, but if you want to enjoy the full heat of the summer, June, July and August are the months to book your flights. These are the months when the temperature is just right for swimming, the beaches of Le Bombarde and Alghero are in full swing and the restaurants extend their service to the terraces.

Avoid the crowds

If you'd prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of midsummer, or ferragosta as the locals know it, fly to Alghero in September. The days will have retained most of their heat, the beaches will only be beginning to quieten down and there'll still be frequent departures for the boat trips to see the Grotta di Nettuno. You should hopefully be able to save a pretty penny too.
