The south is home to most of the island’s most popular resorts, so this makes getting around very simple, whether you choose to rent a car, book transfers, or navigate the island’s simple public transportation. Tenerife North Airport mainly caters for the residents of the island and domestic flights from other parts of Spain. 

Tenerife’s black sand beaches 

Tenerife has multiple beaches to choose from, and many are famous for their black volcanic sand, including the stunning Playa de las Arenas. If this doesn’t sound like your kind of thing, then don’t worry, as there are plenty of golden sandy beaches as well. Outdoor adventures on Tenerife

Take a cable car to the volcano’s summit, where you can get a bird’s eye view over volcanic moon-like landscapes and unique lava streams. You can also explore hikes all over the island, no matter what level of fitness you’re working with. And if you want the thrill without the effort, check out one of Tenerife’s multiple adrenaline-inducing water parks. The best part is,  with the year-long sunshine, there’s no real off-season for these outdoor activities!
