Best time to visit

High season in Naples sweeps into town between mid-June and mid-September, bringing with it sizzlingly hot temperatures and quite a lot of visitors. If you choose to fly into Naples during these months, bear in mind that it can be humid and a little sticky, but that's nothing that a dip in the sea at a fabulous city beach such as Gaiola, Miseno or Miliscola can't rectify.

Avoid the crowds

Sidestep the peak summer crowds - and prices - by flying to Naples in late April, May, September or early October. These months still benefit from warm, generally dry weather that's perfect for sightseeing, yet they're not nearly as busy as the midsummer months with flight and hotel prices much more affordable.
