Well placed for Mediterranean fun

Turunc hides at the bottom of a winding road through the Taurus Mountains, with thickly forested slopes surrounding its Blue Flag beach. The road continues down the stunning Bozburun peninsula, one of the two adjoining peninsulas within easy reach on Turunc holidays.

The Bozburun peninsula is home to fishing, farming and boat-building villages, where you can see traditional wooden gulet yachts under construction, alongside the modern boats occupying the harbour. Selimiye, just 30 kilometres away on the other side of the peninsula, makes for a wonderful day trip, with its pretty waterfront promenade and bougainvillea-draped side streets.

For those who want a little more action, Marmaris, one of the Mediterranean’s biggest resorts, with beaches, bars and boat trips galore, is just a 35-minute drive away. At the end of a sun-soaked day, enjoy a sundowner on the bay. With its mountain-ringed location, you’ll enjoy holidays to Turunc surrounded by some of Turkey’s most appealing spots.
