Is it family-friendly?

Very much so – as well as its fantastic beach and shallow sea, the resort also includes a go-karting track and has two water parks within easy reach.

When should I visit?

If you’re there to party, the clubs open around April and shut in September. In peak summer, August especially, the resort is at its busiest and temperatures are in the high 20s.

What are the beaches like near Magaluf?

As well as the nearby beaches of Magaluf, Palma Nova and Son Matias, there are the Blue Flag beaches of Palma and Cala Mayor to discover. These popular beaches are a short drive along the coast from Magaluf. Palma beach is a long, wide sandy beach with shallow waters. It has all the facilities you need, including a good choice of refreshments. Cala Mayor is another sandy beach, bordered by seafront hotels and rocks. As well as holidaymakers looking to relax, it often attracts avid surfers.

Can you stay in Magaluf on a budget?

Mallorca’s capital city of Palma is about a 20-minute drive. So, it’s not far to travel and perfect for a day trip. There’s a lot to see, including the lovely cathedral and ancient castle. And there are more beaches and plenty of coves nearby. If you want to stay closer to Magaluf, you could walk to the neighbouring Palma Nova. It’s only 15 minutes to the shops, cafes and beach there.

Magaluf is a good place to kick back and relax. So, you can stay for as long as you fancy, whether that’s a week or more. Many of the hotels are well-equipped with pools, restaurants and evening entertainment. Plus, there’s a choice of beaches close by, not to mention bars and cafes.
