Lavish Lara turns up the heat

Rock up at this larger-than-life resort – a mere quarter-hour transfer from Antalya airport – and you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d mistakenly wound up on the Vegas Strip. Because just like the legendary party hub, Lara’s skyline is dominated by massive, brightly-coloured tributes to world-famous landmarks including the Kremlin, New York’s Chrysler Building and even Concorde.

Lara holidays are for people who aren’t shy of embracing luxury, and especially those who believe that holidays should always have something of an undercurrent of fantasy about them. Lara Beach itself, for instance, is 8 kilometres of the purest, picture-book, south-facing, silky-soft sand.

The child-friendly waterparks, sprinkled between Lara’s monumental architecture and the twinkling Mediterranean sea, are zany, fantastical fun, all vivid colours and gravity-defying waterslides. With holidays to Lara in Turkey, your Instagram feed will pop with such vibrancy that you’re sure not to forget this trip in a hurry.
