Ixia is well connected to Rhodes Town by bus. However, if you plan to explore other parts of the island, it’s worth hiring a car.
Ixia enjoys warm, dry summers and cooler, wetter winters. High season temperatures tend to be stable, with averages of around 28-30°C, dropping to around 15°C in December.
Greek cuisine is a favourite the world over, but the restaurants around Ixia are especially good. Locally grown olives and fresh seafood are Rhodes specialities.
