Holiday checklist

Make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance for your holiday, and it’s best to have this in place from the moment you book. You should also check carefully that the level of cover meets your needs.

Ensure you and everyone on your booking has a valid passport. It needs to be in good condition and signed, and often valid for a minimum period beyond your trip, usually at least three months after the day you plan to leave. You also need to make sure it’s issued less than 10 years before the date you’ll be entering the country - so please check the date of issue. 

Visit the TravelHealthPro website to see the latest health advice for your holiday destination and check any travel vaccine requirements on the NHS website. Make sure you know if any entry rules for your holiday destination means you need to provide any visa or health documentation. It’s your responsibility to meet the entry requirements. 

Online check-in opens 30 days before departure. Check in online for your flights as soon as you’re able to, entering your advance passenger information and downloading your boarding passes so that you’re airport ready.
