September is an excellent time to visit as you can enjoy cheaper rates and the yearly International Folk Festival. April and May are also generally inexpensive months, and the weather starts warming up around this time so you get plenty of sunshine.

If you dislike long transfers on holiday, you’re in luck as Hersonissos is just 20-minutes from the airport, and you can pick up a taxi for a fixed price and avoid the long bus rides.
