July and August are particularly popular months to visit Düsseldorf if you're after warmer weather. Although the threat of rain is never too far away, summer days often find the city in a relaxed mood; the parks languid with barbequers and the nights playing host to outdoor concerts. December is another fashionable month, with visitors flying in for the atmospheric Christmas markets.

Avoid the crowds
