How do I get there?

EasyJet flies direct to Crete in four hours. Once you land at Heraklion International Airport, a 30-minute drive will deliver you to the secluded Agia Varvara.

Can I eat on the beach?

There’s a convenient snack bar on the beach called To Nissi (part of the hotel), which offers light bites during the day and à la carte dinners by the sea in the evening.

What’s nearby?

For something a little livelier, check out nearby Malia and Sissi. Or, if you’ve got your trainers, set out on a 55-minute walk round the rugged coast to the popular Malia area.

Best things to do

Rent a car
This place is pretty secluded, so it’s always good to have your own four wheels to explore more of the island. You’ll be at nearby Sissi in just five minutes.
Swim to the islets
Test your sea swimming skills and swim out to the islets of Agia Varvara. Once there, admire the view and bask in the sun, before doing the return leg back to shore!
