Once you have all of the legalities sorted and main details – hotel or chapel, reception venue and timings (remember it can be very hot on summer afternoons) you can start to drill down on all of those special extras to suit your wedding style.

Photography and Videos Don’t just settle for any photographer, consider a videographer or someone with really inspiring ideas who will take original photographs to treasure forever.

Flowers and buttonholes Consider which flowers will be in season – they will look their best and not be quite so hard on the pocket. Bouquets, buttonholes, the chapel, hotel and table decorations can be co-ordinated to your taste and budget.

Transport You may not need a car to the ceremony but if you do need transport book early to secure the most popular models. Cakes Brides, and grooms, often have special requests regarding their wedding cake, so put forward your ideas to enable the bakers to get ready to bake off!
